Torchia 'They Are Born Under Rules of The Darkness'

Hailing from ano 2025, this depiction of a sorcerer summoning demons from hell is one of my favorite paintings to have conjured up last year.

This piece represents a shift in my work flow to a more focused and meticulous technique. In previous years I felt like a machine churning out painting after painting. After pushing through the burnout that caused, I no longer enjoyed the process. This painting I took my time, researching new techniques and trying a different style. Taking that time to enjoy the process helped a lot and I feel like it shows in the final result. The border for example is something new that I will be incorporating more in my work.

In today's world of forced productivity, creative shortcuts through AI and social media expectations. It was a nice change to slow down and smell the sulphuric fumes emanating from the pits.
