Album artwork for Turkish thrash metal band Metalium. This is the band's first release in over 30 years. I was honored to be asked to create the artwork for their comeback album "Tenebris" coming out February 2020.
The concept originated with some sketches the band drew out way back in 1985. I wanted to capture the classic thrash look of that era but with a modern take. The result is a colorful but dark depiction of a demonic Valkyrie descending upon a desolate cityscape. Very thrash in terms of the "horror mascot" figure and apocalyptic landscape, but in my unique style.
