Engineers

Some people would say my paintings show a future world and maybe they do, but I paint from reality. I put several things and ideas together, and perhaps, when I have finished, it could show the future. -H. R. Giger
New artwork inspired by the work of H.R. Giger for the Alien movie franchise. I experimented with a variety of new techniques for this one. I overlayed multiple textures and blended them in through painting to give the piece a very realistic feel. Was fun going through and finding everyday objects that could be used to create biomechanical texturing. Some of the things I used were typewriters, car engines, ventilation shafts and bones to name a few. Really excited about how it all turned out I think I was really able to capture that Gigeresque look but with my own personal touch.
