Mortem precor in lingua deos foeda palla os faciem tegit, et vox taetra loquitra mortis.

Translation: I pray for death in the language of the gods. A dread cloth covers my face and the foul voice of death speaks.

“Death Prayer In The Gods Tongue” is the second in my series The Sundering of the Gods. The painting is a personal reflection of my own fear of mortality and what I will leave behind when I am gone. This piece was painted over the course of the last few months between commissions. Included is the Death Prayer sigil and an illuminated manuscript inspired by the “Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry.”
