Been looking forward to releasing this piece for Fall of Scylla. The concept I portray with this artwork is the remains of a Nordic temple in a burned wooded landscape. I wanted to make the rune stone the epicenter of some type of recent calamity that the surrounding area is slowly recovering from. I tried to capture feelings of desolation, mysticism and a sense of ancient primordial powers at work. I really like how the bright orange colors contrast and stick out against the grey background.
