Album artwork for Illinois based death metal outfit Portals upcoming release "Desolation." The band gave me complete creative freedom to come up with the concept. I decided to depict a Nordic warrior kneeling among his slaughtered village, mortally wounded and being harassed by carrion crows. After failing to save the ones he loved and everything he knew destroyed. I felt this scene would embody utter "desolation" perfectly.
