My Own Will || Left To The Flies

Here is an older piece for deathcore outfit My Own Will release “Left To The Flies.” The composition was pretty straightforward, the band wanted something based off of the album title. I came up with the idea to have a closeup on a hand covered in flies, floating in water and dead leaves. While I do enjoy working on complex compositions, having something simpler allows me to really focus on the details. In my experience it also creates an iconic motif that the viewer can then expand upon with their own imagination.

I also created a vinyl layout and digipak for this release that the band will hopefully get made at some point so keep an eye out for that. “Left To The Flies” is currently streaming on Spotify.
