New artwork for Finnish metal group Horizon Ignited’s upcoming release “Towards the Dying Lands” out July 1st via Nuclear Blast Records. Was a great experience working with the band and very excited to have another piece added to the Nuclear Blast catalog.

The concept behind this artwork was inspired by lyrics from the album, “The path you walk is paved in blood and you are the one who bleeds, all the salt that's in your wounds it makes the path endure.” In the composition you see the figure bleeding red fabric as a loom spins more thread to be fed back into the figure. I attributed this whole analogy to being consumed by what we are passionate about, suffering for our craft so to say. That drive to create something even at the expense of our own minds and bodies. Constantly pushing ourselves “Towards the Dying Lands.”
