This piece was inspired by "The Suicide of Cleopatra" by Guercino and "Medusa" by Caravaggio. I wanted to capture that expression of fear and despair so artfully expressed in those two paintings. I have been doing studies everyday of old masters works and this piece is a cumulation of all those hours of work.
