Artwork for progressive metal outfit Polyphemus. The band approached me with a concept based off of their EP title Zazen. The band also wanted something incorporating their symbol (an eye). I decided to create a figure in a ornate head dress and mask incorporating the eye as a centerpiece. I was afforded a lot of creative freedom and really pushed the concept to be something completely different than typical "progressive metal" artwork. Really happy with the final result and grateful to the band for trusting me with my ideas.
